Overlay at $726,300 After 135 Entries

With four flights remaining, the $1 MILLION GTD Main Event has generated $273,700 of its guarantee.

A potentially massive overlay could make the remaining flights a big opportunity for players looking to turn an $800 buy-in into a major payday.

In Flight 1G, 17 players will finish in the money and 11 will advance to Sunday's Day 2 restart.

Thu. - 9:15 PM

Bogard Bags 1F Chip Lead

With the elimination of Scot Fahrenbruch, Bart Bogard bagged the Flight 1F chip lead with 657,000.

Bogard's bag is an overall Top 5 stack, which ties Zak Baron and narrowly beats out Nguyen Nguyen (656,000). Rajesh Marimuthu remains the overall chip leader with 764,000.

Day 2 action will resume at 1 pm this Sunday on blinds of 3K/6K-6K with 3:17 on the clock - plenty of value and play for the entire field.

Thu. - 2:35 PM

Flight F Receives 61 Entries

With 61 entries in Flight 1F, $42,700 has been added to the prize pool but there is still an overlay of $820,800!

8 players will finish in the money of 1F with 5 players advancing to Day 2.

195 Entries Through 5 Flights

There have been 195 entries through the first five starting flights of the $1 MILLION GTD Main Event at Texas Card House Dallas.

There is a current overlay of $836,500 heading into Thursday's flights.

Expect BIG flights this weekend as players come in from surrounding cities, cash in on their satellite tokens, and flip their way into the Main Event

Mircetic Eliminates Three in a Row

IMG_4157

On the money bubble of Flight 1D, Nikola Mircetic eliminated Harvey Castro.

Facing an early position open to 12,000 on blinds of 2,500/5,000-5,000, Castro three-bet to 38,000 from the cutoff. He left himself with 500 behind.

Mircetic was on the button and four-bet to 73,000. The original opener folded and Castro tossed in his last chip; he was dominated.

Mircetic: A♦K♠
Castro: A♠Q♥ (all-in)
Board: T♦2♠2♦K♦7♥

Castro went unimproved on the runout and was eliminated on the money bubble.

About 30 minutes later, Mircetic opened to 13,000 from the lojack. Brandon Blake moved all-in for 62,000 from the hijack. Justin Smith cold-called from the small blind before Mircetic announced all-in. Smith called as the effective stack.

Mircetic: 7♥7♦
Smith: A♠Q♣ (all-in)
Blake: A♥K♣ (all-in)
Board: T♣5♠3♣J♠3♦

Mircetic's red sevens held on the jack-high runout. Blake and Smith were eliminated in 8th place and 7th place for $1,150 and $1,300 respectively. The remaining six players began to bag up for Sunday's 1 pm Day 2 restart.
